world cup :-(
Well, throughout this World Cup, I've been rooting for France (well, first I was rooting for England, but Portugal knocked them out so I got behind another team), and I definitely wanted to see them win today for a last hurrah for Zidane. However, after what he did in the second OT, I really think the Italians deserved the victory. I knew after he got red carded that France would probably lose. Being a man down, lacking Zidane as well as some other key players on the penalty kicks, and in general having their morale shaken by Zidane's behavior definitely didn't help their situation at the end. It sucks that such a great match ended on such a sour note though.
However, on a lighter note, Zidane's headbutt was pretty hilarious. I was in disbelief after he did that; I thought he was supposed to be a classy player! :]
