Happy 4th (belated)
Last night's bbq was alright. Not as much fun as I had when Deb was here, but alright. Fireworks were a bit of a disappointment. There was too much fog for me to see much of what they were shooting off, and because there's a high chance of fog on the 4th here, SF doesn't really invest a lot in fireworks for the event. KFOG's Kaboom event was much better.. so when I got home, I watched it again.. and enjoyed pretending it was our 4th of July fireworks.
My housemate and his friends took turns teasing me about my 'maternal instinct', because I kept 'helping the little kiddies'..when one over-filled her stroller with rocks and it tipped over, or gave a glow stick to one that was afraid of the loud booming noises and crying.
We had lots of food, though, and nobody ate the ice cream I bought, nor the fruit salad.. ah well, more for me, I guess. (Not exactly the best situation. I bought 2 tubs of the strawberry ice cream.)
