Very! I know so little about it, so it was interesting to learn so much in the first book. I'm still feeling the itch to get to North Korea in this second book, so I really might go back to it.
Have you read From the Fatherland With Love by Ryu Murakami? It's not for everyone, but I certainly learnt a lot about North Korea from it. It's heavy on exposition, has a lot of technical and economical jargon, but the setting, dark humour, and characters are memorable and well worth the bumpy ride.
Wow, that looks interesting! Too bad it's not out in ebook format. I'll keep an eye on it, and if it becomes available that way, I'll happily grab a copy.
I think the feeling that you "had" to read the book might be telling you something, like you felt obligated because you'd agreed to review it and therefore This Was The Book You Needed To Read Right Now, Regardless of Whether Or Not You Were Really In the Mood For It.
Trying to read it again later when you're more in the mood seems like a very good idea to me.
Yep, you hit the nail right on the head. Whenever I feel like I "have to" read something, it's a bad sign.
I'm actually kind of looking forward to going back to it, which is really, really odd. It might be the first time ever I want to continue a book I dropped!
