Half the reason I follow
fandomsecrets is to discover new things to watch or read. I don't find new things too often, but today I did. The secret:
Once I was able to stop grinning over the Oz end of that picture, I moved on and read the comments.

First: Holy cow, something like that is on basic cable?
Second: How in the world am I not watching that already?!
I watched the first eight episodes today, and liked it a lot. Like so many crime series nowaday, it's way too gory for my tastes, but I LOVE the characters. Watching them interact is amazing. The acting is so good! Again it surprises me that it's on basic cable.
It is, unfortunately, a show that benefits from watching with your full attention -- anytime I multitasked, I missed too much. Scenes between Lecter and Graham especially, tiny movements of their heads, little gestures, it's amazing to watch them interact since we the audience know more than (poor) Graham.
I do wish there was a whole lot less graphic gore. I stopped watching all CSI-type shows many, many years ago -- they all try to one-up each other and be more graphic than the last. I just don't need to see close ups of flayed, tortured, skinned bodies.
