Awww, Ellie sounds adorable. Lot better than Kidlet's cat Miss Spots, who likes to bounce on your tummy from the headboard if she does not think you are getting up early enough. She is a little butterball, so it hurts!

Ha! Cat cannonballs would hurt! I hope she doesn't pick up that trick.

Ellie is really careful about it, too. She extends her paw and sort of feels where you are so she can lightly tap.

Uhh, you too? I taught Mubbie to "shake hands" and "high five", now he thinks tapping me is the answer to everything. Including tapping my face at o'dark-thirty because he wants under the covers.

Haha - love the vid!

Yes! We should put Ellie and Mubbie together, they can spend their days tapping each other. :P

Spike has mastered the paw tap well and truly!! He has learned the "wake up" tap and uses it. Hope Ellie cat doesn't figure that one out. :D

I hope not too! Her taps are very soft right now, but they'd still be enough to wake me up.

not sure if its the same, but Tiberius grabs my butt when cooking. He taps, and he's so long he has no trouble reaching my belt, but my butt is within 'comfortable' reach. He's 19lbs and lean, so the few times he does cannonball you, you 'oof!' which only makes him want to do it more. I learned not to oof, wife hasn't learned yet. She gets it more than I do, as you'd expect. Me? he just slithers into cuddling, which in bed is usually so he can watch TV and get belly rubs.

Sounds like the same! When I'm seated, Ellie stretches up so she can tap on my arm for attention. When I'm walking/cooking, she's more likely to try to grab my calf. (And butt grabbing seems like something a cat named Tiberius would do!)
