WoW's RNG is a willful bitch
WoW's random number generator is so very, very evil.
Crowfeathers, my hunter, wanted the AGI cloak. 28 runs before it finally dropped for him, someone else needed and won it, then 8 more runs before it dropped a second time and he finally got it. Went to help a tank get his cloak, right after Crow got his.
Fight #1: AGI cloak.
Fight #2: AGI cloak.
Fight #3: AGI cloak.
Something like seven of nine runs had that damned AGI cloak, after it took him 36 runs to get his.
Worse than that: My one and only real goal in this event was to get the pet for my pet-collector alt. All four of my 80s have done the event boss every day without fail. Number of pets dropped on any alt? ZERO.
Lots of other people want the scythe though. Not me, I wanted the pet. Number of scythes I currently have: NINE. One dropped while on my druid, so he can use that one, but the other eight are on my melee alts. Ugh!
Speaking of scythes, my FFXI DRK still lives within me. I know it's not good, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE doing so much damage so fast that it kills me. Put my boomkin on a pack of mobs and I can kill myself in under a minute! Or try to, anyway. chryseth is generally our healer, and he does his best to thwart my suicidal efforts! <3
