[Taking a cue from freakytwinthing's mun and creating a need-to-know list about Wally.]
~Wally is a Gary Stu. His sister is a Mary Sue. They love each other dearly.
~Wally's sister, Grace, isn't his birth sister. She's actually a Winchester, twin to Dean Winchester. More about her here
~After Wally's family fell apart he ran away and after some time he ended up on the streets of NYC. He was homeless and practically penniless. He began a life of petty crime to get by on, and he actually started to enjoy it.
~He wasn't in school for a few years, but because he was always so smart and studious, when he went for his G.E.D. he passed easily.
~He started taking community college courses and worked three jobs. He was recognized for his hard work and needs, and got scholarships for college. He put himself through law school and graduated top of his class. However, after he passed the bar, he decided he'd rather be a cop, so he perused that instead.
~He made it through the academy quickly, and after just a year of being a beat cop got promoted to Jr. Detective after a very heroic day on his part. There is a good probability he'll get his next ranking sooner rather than later.
~He's very athletic and good at any sport he tries his hand at.
~He's played classical piano since he was a little boy.
~Wally used to believe in God, like the good young man he was, but after his family fell apart he lost faith. After getting his life back on track he began to believe again.
~He's jaded on love. He wants the perfect relationship like his parents had, but at the same time he knows that there's no such thing because his father was just...under a curse.
~He's picked up Spanish and Italian from life in the big city.
~He knows a lot about the under-dwellings of the city from having lived in them, and this gives him an advantage in his work.
~He always had this feeling that his little sister was happy and in good hands. There's a connection he feels to her, because he's such a caring older brother. Before his turn around, he always figured she was better off. He has always hoped to get things together and find her again one day, when she can look up to him again.
~Women tend to throw themselves at him, but he's clueless to the fact. The women also fall in love with him fast and hard, because he's such a great guy, but he isn't in the right place for a relationship right now.
~He devotes spare time to volunteering in a youth homelessness center. He's thinking about giving the rest of his spare time to being a volunteer firefighter.
~He has a perfect smile, with perfect teeth, and if you catch him at the right angle his eye really does twinkle with perfectness.
~He's delivered several babies in the line of duty, and one was even named after him for his heroics.
