[PotD drabble] child of this sky
kyuhyun was on his way back to their apartment from a trip to the nearby convenience store when it started raining.
the first drop was gentle, like a soft kiss on his cheek, only to be followed by a hundred little kisses, raindrops falling faster, more insistent - the sky getting bolder in declaring its affection to the young man standing uncovered on the sidewalk.
kyuhyun raised his face and smiled at the clouds, the rain running invisible fingers through his hair, the wind holding him close to its quiet form.
kyuhyun closed his eyes and heard his heart sing: soon, the song was on his lips, his clothes, his skin, like the wind and rain.
there was also the cold, but kyuhyun did not mind. there was just so much to feel, so much to have.
kyuhyun felt himself shiver, his heart beating faster, his blood pumping hard to keep him warm. and he liked it. he liked how there were goosebumps on his flesh, water on his eyelashes, the breeze in his hair.
he loved how he is right now, something he had not felt like in quite some time: rain-soaked and really happy.
because he was alive.
