We're emptying my parents' office these days. It's the house mum lived in when she was a kid, so it doesn't belong to them, but to my grandmother. And my grandmother wants to rent it. Since we've been using it as our storage space for the last 10 years, it's full of different crap. From my old schoolbooks to drawings I've made to our old computers and printers and monitors (there's 4 of each).
We also have an amazing huge library full of books, half of which I haven't read. So for the last two weeks we've been emptying the library. Putting the books in boxes to carry to what used to be my other grandmother's house, which is empty right now. We're going to set up everything there so if I need to study alone in peace and quiet, I can go there.
BUT emptying the library means me going all "OOOH I'VE ALWAYS WANTED TO READ THIS BOOK! I DIDN'T KNOW WE HAD IT!! GIMME!" *puts book in bag* That happens around 5 times every evening we spend there. So by now, my room at home is full of books. All over. Books on the shelves, books on my bed, books in drawers, books in piles on the floor.
That, paired up with the fact that, as OCD as I am, I'm also extremely lazy, my room is a mess. Wii on the floor by the bed, PS3 on the desk with all the wires hanging around, external hard drive on the floor. Shoes, clothes, bags, empty water bottles. Batteries. CDs lying around. MONEY!! I JUST SPOTTED MONEY!! :D ...You get the picture.
It's going to be a busy day. I'm gonna start vacuuming right now because this has been bothering me for days.
i am a disaster,
