Yarn. Yarn. Yarn. I am not allowed to buy any more yarn, by my own decree. Not until I finish about five projects, anyway!
I have been admitted to an evil website known as
Ravelry. It is currently in its Beta stage and invite-only, but anyone can get on the list to be invited. Inside is a massive database being populated by fabulous knitters, crocheters, designers, spinners, dyers, and people in all ways connected and in love with yarn and the associated crafts.
The tools it provides are easy to use, and incredibly useful. You can simply browse through patterns, sort them by a five-star rating, browse through yarn, see what yarn has been used in what sort of projects, and many, many other types of searches and sorts that are (apparently) intended to get you to KNIT TOO MUCH. Or in my case, buy too much yarn!
I now have a "stash". It has many types of gorgeous yarn in it. I'm pretty excited about getting some of the projects that each type of yarn represents to completion. Wish me luck!
