What a way to celebrate Mardi Gras

I know I haven't talked to any of you lately. (With the exception of maybe Sofie and Steven) With school and work both full time I just haven't been doing much of anything or talking to anyone. But something happened this weekend I think you guys should know about. My dad went into the emergency room with chest pains early early Monday at OLOL. He was in the ER for almost 24 hrs. Then they admitted him into the hospital into the cardiac ward. He had a heart catheter (sp?) done yesterday that revealed a 90% blockage in his largest heart valve and a 50-70% blockage in the other two. He had two stints put in (which are expanded metal tubes that are like a permanent balloon in your valve) and he was put into Angioplasy Recover at the Lake last night. Good news is he made it through all of this alright, even though he gave us a few scares after the procedure. Bad news is that through all of this we've found out that my father is a SEVERE diabetic and that his cholesterol count is off the charts. But these are all things that can be cured with work and time. So, I'm on my way BACK to the hospital for day number three. Dad gave himself his first insulin shot by himself today! Yay Dad! I've got to be up there for his Diabetic Education class. We all know what a fine cook my Mom is, so she wants me up there to make sure I know what I'm doing. I think I may be permanently moving back home for a while to help my Mom out. Not sure how much longer they will keep him at the hospital, but please keep him in your prayers. I love you guys.
