Leader of the pack (vroom, vroom) - BtVS

When I said I felt like writing Xander for this prompt, lilachigh suggested something that focused on his feelings when Cordy was in hospital, post kidnapping and microscope assault. That was a really good idea, but it's going to take a little bit more thought to develop it the way I want it to go, so I went with this instead ( Read more... )

Excellent look at the inner workings of Xander's mind during that episode.

A very good story indeed - it really explores Xander's new species of thinking... :~))

I enjoyed it very much.

Xander's new species of thinking.
*laughing* Thank you, yes. Finding that balance was fun.
I'm so pleased you enjoyed it. Thank you for stopping to say so.

Hyena Xander is a favourite thing, he was so damn sexy, and you really get a feel for the power of the possession here.

Poor, poor piggy!

Hyena Xander is fun, isn't he. It was fun trying to square Joss 'verse hyenas, with what (little) I know about real spotted hyenas, and then applying that to Xander's basically human brain structure.
Yeah, poor Herbert.
Thanks hon.

What a trip! Very cool insight into the melding of the combined mind of the primal, but still at base somehow human, Xander. I really enjoyed that.

In fact.. with the way you presented that, I could easily see Xander's own sense of self/will being strong enough to keep the leader of the pack in check to a degree, and then in turn him harnessing the rest... but still maintaining his own personality to his friends for the most part - at least in such a way that they wouldn't take his newfound confidence too much amiss. Hmm, think-y now...

thanks for sharing... ;)

Thank you. I'm so pleased.
*reads your comment carefully* Yes, interesting idea. Are you going to write it?

"Yes, interesting idea. Are you going to write it?"

You know, I don't think I will... I was toying with it, but... well frankly I have too many pans in the fire as it is. That and I think it would be too angsty to fit my style, or for me to truly do it justice anyway. So up for grabs if anyone reading it wants the prompt-y idea! *g*

But again, really liked what you did. :)

Fair enough. I have filed it away as an idea to think about, but it wouldn't matter if other people picked it up too. The stories would inevitably be very different. See, I don't see it as a particularly angsty idea *g*
Thanks again, and for the additional prompt.

Thank you very much for the kind offer. I might well take you up on it, when I figure out how moving icons work. *g* I'm a bit a of low tech person. It's on my list of things to do.
