May meme, days 10 to 14
It's a miserable damp looking morning, but there's a promise that it will dry out in a few hours, which will be nice since I am actually going out for lunch. To a real pub. Sitting outside, yes, but under cover, so if it does rain... However, lets hope not. But going out to eat! Whoa, I've pretty well forgotten what that feels like.
In the meantime, a few days of catch-up on the meme.
10. Out of everyone you know, who has the most heart?
Strange question. I'm not perfectly sure what this means. But assuming it's asking who of all the people I know is the kindest and most considerate... I don't think I'd want to rank them. All my friends are very different from each other and all have a lot of heart.
11. How many beings live in your house?
I'm sure it's hundreds, if not thousands, if you count the spiders and other small creatures. Not that I see the spiders very often. In fact, there are only two that I spotted regularly last year. But I like having them because they eat other critters, like silverfish.
12. How many cars have you ever owned?
I had to count back. Five.
Five in the forty years since I passed my test. It's not many, I think. I have spent much of my life not owning a car.
13. Can you do maths in your head well?
Not particularly. I have to really think it through... and occasionally count on my fingers. We might not have had mobile phones when I was a teen, but electronic calculators arrived while I was still in school and I lost the habit of mental arithmetic.
14. Does your house have air conditioning throughout, or do you have one that sits in your window?
Neither. Air conditioning is really not needed in the UK. It is often fitted as partner to, and part of, the heating system in modern office blocks, but not in private homes.
