December meme: The End. And the end of 2020.

Dec 31, 2020 05:37

And so 2020 is almost over. Just a few hours to go. I don't think anybody will be sorry to see the back of this year. Rarely has a New Year's promise been so longed for and welcomed. The first half of 2021 is likely to be as hard as the past 9 months, but there is hope that it will end eventually ( Read more... )

This year has certainly been a different one. Of course big one for you with retirement. A good thing do you think?

It’s been nice seeing you post so often. I’m going to try and keep up posting I think.

Yes, a good thing. It has been very nice knowing that I have missed out on having to deal with the fallout from Covid *g* I do not envy my ex-colleagues.

I would like to, too. I notice that Brutti has posted all the questions.

I know I haven't been commenting much, sorry about that. General ennui, I suppose.

I hope you have a safe and happy New Year, and that 2021 has many joys and blessings for you!

No apology needed. It has been that kind of year.

Happy New Year to you and the MB, too!

I'm afraid I haven't had much to say recently. I do read all these post though and I enjoy learning about your family traditions. For instance, I never would have thought of sending bread through a mincer to clean it. That's kind of cool.

There are times I'd like a pause button. Just enough time to come up with the really lethal zinger that the situation or comment calls for.

It's alright to be quiet. And I'm glad to have been able to provide some small entertainment with what to me feel like boring posts about boring everyday things *g*

Ah, the reply you think of too late. We would all love something that got around that. Yes indeed.

I will have mixed feelings about the year - probably one of the few who will - but we had such a lovely time when Katherine and John were finally able to marry that I will always look back at the year with pleasure... and then feel guilty about it!

ETA - meant to say I remember mincing meat with the old spong mincer to make rissoles, too - and then putting bread through to clean it, as well.

You really should not feel guilty. You have good reason to have good thoughts about the year. I do, too, in some respects.

Also, your small island is small enough and was firm enough to get control of Covid and while we might envy you that, we are glad for you.

I remember getting to eat the minced bread being so nice; probably because it didn't happen very often at all *g*
