commercials, billboards, catalogs oh my
so, very interesting day yesterday. i had applied for sears online friday night and it asked me when i wanted me interview, so i put down 12:30 the next day which was saturday. i'm all nervous as we get there beforehand and we tell some manager guy that i'm waiting for my interview. well he goes into the back room to see if he can find who i needed. well he comes back and says that they never even knew of an interview and has an attitude and everything. of course i'm pissied off cuz there should be someone there to check if there are any interviews for the day. so i decided if i get called back for an interview, i'll politely decline cuz they basically showed me what kind of business they ran. plus i applied for lawn and garden, and fuck if i know anything about that. anyway, on to the good news lol. i'm looking thru last sunday's newspaper at job adds and i see some that said they needed models. curious, i decide to call one of them. i gave the woman on the other line my description and she says that they're looking for someone like me. this was at 2:00 and she asked if i could be down at easton (that's where they're located) at 2:45 and i said yeah. we all head down there, i fill out an application while the fam goes easton mingling. they measure me and take me pic and we all (about 15 of us) wait till this guy comes out and explains modeling to us. he explained all about what kinds there are and how to get exposed. he said we were all gonna get mini-interviews and that there would be call-backs. but, since they have to pick they best, they said not everyone would and they usually accept only about 10-15%. i get called in and the woman asks questions and asked me about my acne and if i was on any medication. i said i'm on acutane and would be clear in about 2 to 3 months. she said only cuz of that that they couldn't accept me right then, but they really wanted me back cuz they feel that they could work with me. they said i'd be good for commercial and print work (catalogs, magazines). so all in all, i could be a model!!! how frickin sweet is that? talk about a confidence booster lol. well i'm very excited about that, but i still need to find a job. i'm calling target and macy's tomorrow. that's about it for now. later
