I'm no poet, but autumn in MN is beautiful

the walk I took today was beautiful. The sky was overcast and though the clouds never left, I had to squint sometimes because the entire sky lit up when the sun shone through the sky's occasional cracks.

The leaves that crunched under my feet were green--freeze dried during last night's frost. The dying cattails were no source of color.

Walking around Foot Lake, I saw a huge number of ducks floating in two groups several yards from shore. The wild grasses that were once taller than me now drooped under the weight of their white fluffy seeded tops.
