my life has meaning

I am done translating that durn article. It's not so much the vocabulary as the syntax that hangs me up. Sometimes I have to sort out all of the pieces and put them into a different order in order to figure out a sentence. German must follow grammatical guidlines, but every sentence has quite a few templates to choose from. Some are easier for me to quickly recognize than others. I am very proud of myself.

I am trying to figure out my accomplishments over the last several days:
I have lined up a place to stay in Chicago if/when I decide to visit/find teacher there.
I talked to my mom.
I have done lots of household things. All the dishes, the laundry, baking scones and muffins for breakfast, cooking dinners, making lunches, visiting the grocery store.
I helped organize the anatomy lab portion for a student leadership day held at Kristina's medical school.
Kris and I went shopping for fabric to create gathered curtain panels for her shelves in the living room. They are behind the couch, but in plain view from the door. It is a rust like toile.
I toured Kristina's office and met her advisor and contact persons.
I have read two books.
I translated an article.
I weeded my sister's bean row in the community garden (okay, so I did more watching than weeding)
I introduced my sister to Arabella.

I am going to Ben Harper tonight at Summerfest.
