#01 - Comfort
Mitsuki’s mother is dead and nobody can bring her back; Yuu being there made it a little better, somehow.
#02 - Kiss
It’s a sloppy kiss; his hands are shaking and it’s fairly obvious this is the first time he’s kissed anyone, but she doesn’t care because this is Yuu and she has him all to herself.
#03 - Soft
It was around their first year of high school, during one extremely awkward afternoon in which Mitsuki tackled him to ground and unintentionally pressed herself against him, that Yuu noticed just how much Mitsuki had grown since he met her (--in certain assets of the female body).
#04 - Pain
“Don’t worry, Yuu-kun, it won’t hurt…” Mitsuki says, scalpel in hand, and, somehow, Yuu has a hard time believing her.
#05 - Potatoes
“That’s not how you peel a potato, Yuu-kun!” She says, laughing as she gently pushes him aside and takes the knife from his hand, and Yuu can’t help but to blush in embarrassment.
#06 - Rain
The day he lied to her, it was raining; Mitsuki couldn’t have found a more fitting scenery.
#07 - Chocolate
On Valentine’s Day, Yuu only got one box of chocolate, Mitsuki’s; somehow, he wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.
#08 - Happiness
Yuu almost choked on air when his own father, after Mitsuki having left their house, asked him: “Is that money in your pocket, Yuu, or were you just happy to see Mitsuki?”
#09 - Telephone
Yuu could have sworn Mitsuki had muttered I love you before she hung up on him.
#10 - Ears
“Guess who?” she whispers into his ear, and like any other sensible person in the world would, Yuu reacts by yelping, flailing, and almost falling off his current seat.
#11 - Name
“Hey… What’s your name…?” He says, dropping the baseball bat next to him as he kneels down in front of her, and she can only stop crying long enough to choke out her first name.
#12 - Sensual
If there was one thing Yuu would never, ever admit, it was the fact that he thought Mitsuki looked amazing in their high school uniform.
#13 - Death
When Yuu imagined his death, he imagined a peaceful one out of old age; he had never imagined it would be at the hands of his own best friend, and all because of one, stupid little lie.
#14 - Sex
She brushed the wrinkles off of her skirt and he zips his jacket up again, his face still bright red from what they had just done.
#15 - Touch
They longed for each other’s touch; that should not be something best friends wanted.
#16 - Weakness
He was naïve, stupid, and weak… and now Mitsuki was dead, killed by the Wolf.
#17 - Tears
She should not be crying; all the liars were dead --he was dead, so why was she crying…?
#18 - Speed
“Yuu-kun, you’re going too fast; the law states that--!” “…We’re still on your driveway.”
#19 - Wind
Unfortunately for Yuu (or fortunately, depending on your point of view), the wind had blown up Mitsuki’s skirt just as he had bent down to pick up his book bag; this, of course, ended with a bright red mark across his face in the shape of Mitsuki’s hand, and a lecture about “sexual harassment”.
#20 - Freedom
“Don’t worry Mitsuki, we’re getting out of here…” He had said mere hours ago, but now, it felt like he had lied to her again.
#21 - Life
It was all his fault; if he hadn’t lied, Mitsuki wouldn’t have had to kill everyone--she wouldn’t have had to take life.
#22 - Jealousy
She wipes the blood smeared across his face off with her own sleeve, and he writhes and squirms around on the bed--no use; Yuu-kun belonged to her and to her only, he would not escape and run back to that woman.
#23 - Hands
Her hands were cold, just like the rest of her; she was dead, and it was all his fault.
#24 - Taste
Most people thought Mitsuki was one of the worst cooks they had ever met (because, really, bacon and chocolate chip cookies?); Yuu would beg to differ.
#25 - Devotion
He would protect her no matter what happened; that was what he promised, and he would never break that promise.
#26 - Forever
He had said he would protect her from anything until the day he died; now, as Mitsuki bled to death in his arms, he realized, with a bitter laugh, that he had lied to her about that too.
#27 - Blood
There’s blood all over the place--all over her clothes, the floor, walls, and even on his corpse as it swings back and forth from the ceiling.
#28 - Sickness
“I’m fine Mitsuki, I’m not si--” She presses her lips against his and smiles, shoving a thermometer into his mouth as soon as she pulls away, “I bet the thermometer would beg to differ, Yuu-kun.”
#29 - Melody
When they were little, she would dance along to Saimin Shoujo’s theme like it was a ritual; now, that sort of thing would be silly of her, but that didn’t mean he didn’t miss watching her do it.
#30 - Star
He would probably laugh at her for believing in this sort of thing, but every time Mitsuki looked up at the night sky, she was searching for a shooting star, if just so she could say: “I wish Yuu-kun returned my feelings.”
#31 - Home
She steps into his house, albeit a bit hesitantly, and Yuu just laughs; this was her home, too, she was welcome every time.
#32 - Confusion
“You’re the Wolf…?” He says, his eyes wide with hurt and confusion, and she merely laughs, swinging the crowbar above her head and down onto his.
#33 - Fear
To be honest, Yuu has never more afraid in his life; he would never admit it, for her sake, however.
#34 - Lightning/Thunder
When she said she was afraid of lightning, he merely smiled and held her tighter; such a fear was irrelevant while he was around to protect her.
#35 - Bonds
She tightens the rope around his wrists and ankles, and slaps the tape onto his mouth; liars such a he did not deserve to die… they deserved a fate far worse than that.
#36 - Market
Yuu had never been the kind to know what to pick when he went shopping--no wonder it had been two hours and he was still empty handed when it came to finding something for Mitsuki’s birthday.
#37 - Technology
Mitsuki, much to Yuu’s surprise, was completely hopeless when it came to computers; this was show-cased when her new computer, which she had gotten a week or so ago, detected five viruses.
#38 - Gift
When he went to ask Kei for help on what to pick for Mitsuki’s birthday, he had never been more embarrassed in his life; luckily, they found the perfect gift, and that made it all worth it.
#39 - Smile
When she smiled, Yuu almost forgot that they had been kidnapped and Rei had already died.
#40 - Innocence
Some would call it stupidity; Mitsuki thought Yuu was simply innocent.
#41 - Completion
She smiled, wiping the dried up blood off of his cold, dead hands; she had won the game, all the liars were dead… but was it really worth it?
#42 - Clouds
“I think that cloud looks like a wolf, Yuu-kun!” “…I see a rabbit.”
#43 - Sky
The day they met, the sky was so bright; a complete and utter contrast to the mood.
#44 - Heaven
He kissed her lips, and she wondered, briefly, if this is what heaven would be like.
#45 - Hell
“What… Is this…?” Mitsuki asks, hand covering her mouth as she stares up at Rei’s corpse, and Yuu can only find one answer; hell.
#46 - Sun
When they finally get out of that place, Mitsuki barely conscious on his back as he squints, the first thing Yuu notices is the sun.
#47 - Moon
She smiles and rests her chin on his head, draping her arms around his shoulders, and they watch the full moon together.
#48 - Waves
Her fingers curl around his, and she’s smiling as she chirps, “Let’s go to the beach next week, Yuu-kun.”
#49 - Hair
She grabs him by the hair and slams his head against the wall, gritting her teeth, “I’ll make sure Yuu-kun never tells another lie in his life again.”
#50 - Supernova
It was amazing, the large array of fireworks illuminating the sky; what was more amazing, however, was the feel of her touch.
