At any rate, you're quite correct, there really is nothing for this pairing. This fic is easily the best thing I've ever read for it, your writing was really clean and simple to follow but conjured a vivid image of what was occurring throughout as well, which is great! A good balance between flowery and plain, it worked perfectly :3
And ugh, Kratos/Zelos makes no sense in anyone's head, it's all about the hot sex. I swear, is it really that weird to find a pairing hotter because you think it makes sense? Zelos/Lloyd will eternally be hotter than KAAARTOS/Zelos in my head, because I'm sure that one makes sense and one doesn't.
(In that regard, Regal/Zelos has slowly been becoming more interesting to me, lately. I used to dismiss it as pure crack, but they do have a few nice moments during skits, and hey- noblemen can bond, right? Haha, not that I'm about to forsake my OMG OTP!!1! here, but R/Z isn't so bad ;D)

I find Zelos easiest to write as well, but that's just complacency on my part from having RPed him so much - as it seems you're apparently aware, haha~! But yus, I probably get lazy with Zelos really simply because I write him most often, so it's good to see someone writing him really well, like you have. Gets me to evaluate my own interpretations again, which is always a good thing. As for Regal, he's grown on me a lot recently, so I think I really need to start trying my hand at writing him :O
And yeah, I remember you saying about not liking Zelos much to start with. I'm so happy he's grown on you, heheh. As for other characters this might have worked with, specifically Kratos, I think Zelos would associate Kratos too strongly to the whole Cruxis deal (and his own family issues D|) for him to stomach have Kratos be so.. well, dominate. Hmm... hahah, now I almost wanna see if I can try to address the same kind of scenario outlined here by using an unassuming character like Lloyd. IS THIS FEAT POSSIBLE? (I suspect not. GO GO SEME LLOYD?)

I was like, "HAR PWP" but then it ended up having some complexity in it. I actually always do that. I can't write ABSOLUTELY NO CONTENT. Which is why I don't like Kratos/Zelos, maybe? I DUNNO.
I think Zelos/Lloyd makes WAY more sense. I actually have been starting to really dig it lately. Mostly because I keep reading doujinshi. I'm weird like that. :D

(ACK, Mithos/Genis. I don't like that v. much. Actually, it's Kratos/Lloyd. I DIDN'T KNOW, I SWEAR. I had NO FUCKING IDEA that Kratos was really his dad and me and my friend kept talking about the pr0n and then all of a sudden BAM they're related and I was like, "....I'm going to go hang myself. Don't try to stop me."
Unfortunately, that didn't kill my liking for the pairing entirely, and I'm sure I have no morals left as a result of this.)

I really would like to play with Regal's personality some more, but I'll probably never get it down because of how I'd LIKE him to be versus how he IS. Hahahaha, I fail. >D
Yeah, I can't see him letting Kratos really do much to him at all, honestly. I see people draw it or whatever and I'm like, "WHAT NONSENSE IS THIS."
Zelos/Lloyd made more and more sense the farther into the game I got.
And then Lloyd was like, "I trust you, Zelos."
And I was like, "SQUEE." (I've played both ways, but still. That made me happy inside.)
ALL THE DOUJINSHI IS SEME LLOYD. And I was like, "HAHAHAHA SEME LLOYD MAKES ME LAUGH."
I couldn't write seme Lloyd at all.

I was talking to a friend of mine recently about what actually counts as PWP, and we decided that as long as you remember that it's two characters having sex and not just two attractive bodies? It's all good. A character's thoughts, feelings and reactions to a sexual encounter can say a lot about them, and your fic illustrates that point. Hardly PWP if it's insightful, amirite? :D
You've mentioned Zelos, Lloyd and doujinshi in the same sentence. IT'S BEEN FAR TOO LONG SO I BROUGHT ANY NEW ZELOS/LLOYD. I feel it's only right that I rectify this situation. Oh darn~
(Ah, Kratos/Lloyd. I don't really care for the majority of fandom incest pairings, if only because so many undermine family relationships, ie. the Elric siblings needing to be 'more than brothers'. What's so wrong with being brothers? I think Kratos feels too guilty for everything that's happened in Lloyd's life so far to ever do anything with him now though.
... which doesn't mean Lloyd can't have a boycrush on him before learning TEH TRUTH!!1 omg. XD)
Is it bad that, right now, I'm thinking 'Hmm, I think I kinda like mean!Regal more than canon!Regal?' Bad attitude, bad!! And bah, I just say a pox on all Kratos/Zelos. YES I can make sweeping judgments like that, I'M ALLOWED.
I'll refrain from squeeing dorkishly about Zelos/Lloyd, but that to say that if you play the Zelos as soulmate path I swear it's practically canon, hahah~ ♥
AND YES, GOD. I would have thought uke!Zelos would be a rare thing, but apparently the japanese are convinced that Lloyd is secretly a SEXUAL PREDATOR. Or else they just really like to see redheads on their backs, who knows? But man, I actually MISS seme!Zelos, there must be actual GOOD seme!Zelos doujinshi. SOMEWHERE.

I HAVE LIKE 8 THAT I DOWNLOADED. Zelos is on bottom in ALL OF THEM, FUCK. I was thinking, "Okay, no, Zelos is pretty on his back or whatever, but....!?"
I can't see him topping anyone else, really, but COME ON. LLOYD IS SO AN UKE. SRSLY NOW.
Doesn't mean I don't like them, but I wonder what started the Lloyd being seme ALL THE TIME trend.
