I am a PAYE (Pay As You Earn) taxpayer, but I do a tax return every year (although I got a letter from the tax office last month, saying that I don't need to submit a self-assessment tax return any

A friend of mine told me once about the Dutch government sending back a tax return - they owed 3000 euros in taxes, and would receive 5000 in benefits and returns...of course the 3000 was taken immediately and the 5000 took 4 months to arrive. Good luck against the Man!
