On LJ & Twitter

My previous post was analysis from a Twitter-post. The Tweet said:
- Singing along to "No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)" in the car this morning, I realised that I'm a fiend for great disco tunes. LJ Analysis.

Thank you for that simple consideration. I appreciate it more than you know, and agree wholeheartedly. In fact, after being deeply aggravated by twitter posts on lj, I decided not to get a twitter account, myself.

Other people's sloppy use of handy services isn't necessarily a reason to deny yourself the usefulness of the service ( ... )

Heh, I'm actually with elfy on it all. Though to be fair, I sort of rolled my eyes at Twitter in general. If I thought I'd actually use it, I'd've made an account, but I cannot see the need for snippets, or people I don't know following me around. ;)

This thread has two use-cases; one that is mine and a link to one in someone else's blog. However, it's not compulsory for anyone to identify with those use cases, or realise any of your own ( ... )

Put bluntly, I'm a paranoid monkey, and I dislike people following me. So yes, while I might use my Facebook status in a Twitter-like manner, I do not have an extreme interest in giving those that know where I am another way into my brain, and while I've made some wonderful friends on the random via social networking (like my friend Maggie here on Livejournal), I am VERY happy that my random new friends over the years on sites such as this have been extremely sporadic.
