here's my reniassance
so, i've decided to start posting in this damn thing again. i just deleted all my other posts, and im going to start fresh.
the past few weeks have been rather eventful for me. i've been working a ton, and unfortunately, all my money from that is going straight to my parents so i can pay off my debts with them. through words went on a US tour from june 27-july 10. that was so much fun. i can't get over how awesome california is. i can't wait to go back out there and visit everyone and just play shows. i met so many awesome people out there; everyone is so nice. texas was amazing as well. i met a handful of cool kids there, and the scene they have there (san antonio, specifically) is thriving. we played in the following states (in this order): PA, TX, NM, CA, CA, CA, ND, IA, IL, NY with a few days off inbetween. we ended up having to tour in joe's honda accord because our plans with a van fell through at the last minute. either way, it wasn't bad at all, because we had plenty of room to ourselves and it was great on gas. our CDs weren't ready for the beginning half of our tour, but we had them shipped to us in chula vista, CA on july 2. they came out really well i think(email me at xlosingstreakx@aol.com if you want to buy one! $5 for 10 songs!). all in all, the tour was awesome, and i can't wait to go again.
i've been able to go surfing a lot more this summer. im pretty pumped on that. my friend shawn peaslee goes with me a lot. that kid is seriously so awesome. he's been my best friend since 4th grade. if you're ever around us and feel like going, let us know. we're always looking for more people to go with us.
have heart leaves for tour in a couple weeks on the east coast. unfortunately, me and briggs (the bass player) won't be going because we can't get the time off from work to make it. they'll be getting a couple fill ins to take our spot. both of our 7"s will be out in a few days as well (the one on think fast! records and the demo 7" on bottled up records), so that's pretty cool. we get the test presses tomorrow or the next day; i can't wait to hear them. hopefully they'll be okay so we don't have to wait forever to send them back and have them fix them.
i just recently got asked to play drums for GUNS UP! i said yes, so i am now officially MVHC. hahaha. this is an awesome band, and they're all awesome guys. im psyched that they asked me to play with them. i will also be recording on their new 7" coming out on 1917 records this fall. check that stuff out... www.gunsuphc.com --- www.1917records.com
i dont think there's really anything else that is post-worthy right now. i guess i'll just post whatever is interesting as it happens. its up to you if you waste your time reading this or not, ha. until post #2...
