Friendsgiving
A couple of nights ago my friend AJ had a wonderful evening at his place in middle earth!!
uh - in other words it was kinda far away it seemed. He called it friendsgiving. 20 or so people hanging out, we ate a nice dinner, listened to satellite radio, james was spanking people with a ruler close to the close of the evening! But that was not the highlight. eh, perhaps one of them on second thought. I had a great time and it was really nice to see everyone.
I did feel bad cause i got tired really early. A few of us went to denny's afterwards and I was just beyond tired. I nearly fell asleep on the table.
Today was thanksgiving. Woke up late, went to work early. 3:30pm instead of 4:30. Time and a half i think, that's not bad. I actually didnt mind being there cause of the tension in my house. I think it would have been kind of awkward here with my dad and all.
Kathleen came and brought me some food and Kate at work shared some of the food that her mom had brought her so it was nice to not be hungry. I really appreciated Kat coming to see me too.
When I got home tonight it was quiet time. I just hung out for a bit then remembered the article a woman at work had showed me about a record label she wanted me to check out. It's local, from northampton and some of the artists on it are actually really good and doing about what i'm doing so she thought of me and encouraged me to contact them. I think I will actually. I'll call them on monday.
Well thinking about that got me motivated to pick up my guitar. I did so and after just playing around for about 15 minutes or something I came up with the beginnings of a song. An hour or so later I had it all done. It turned out to be about my mother and how she must feel in the relationship she's in with my father. I think it's decent... Anyhow I think that's a good lj update. I know I dont post much. I'm not going to promise more frequent posts cause I probably won't keep that promise, but I hope anyone who reads this is doing well.
Oh and my birthday is coming up on the 4th of december. Just thought I'd throw that in. wink wink.
I'm off to bed, it's 3:20am!
