Concerts...

I'm sick of music festivals I think. Sasquatch 2009 will be the last one I attend. I have no idea why...Concerts as a whole have just become not super important to me anymore. Maybe because I work at a music venue, and am around it multiple days a week. There are few shows I feel like really going to these days...And it's usually just bands I know are amazing live or have never seen or rarely tour. I will always go to Tool shows. I will always go to anything involving anyone from Pink Floyd. I will always try to go see Between The Buried And Me. I will go to local shows, especially my friends bands. I think I have gone to too many concerts...Excluding work, I have been to at least 300 shows in the last 10 years. I don't regret any of them, except two...But I just don't care anymore.

Unless there is some crazy, unbelievable line-up in the coming years, I probably won't be going to one, at least for a very long time. Honestly, I like/love a handful of the bands playing Sasquatch this year(NIN, Jane's Addiction, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, TV On The Radio, Murder City Devils, Kings of Leon, King Khan and The Shrines, The Builders and The Butchers, Explosions In The Sky), but if Nine Inch Nails weren't playing a bunch of shit they never play, I would not be nearly as excited...

The Becoming
Mr. Self Destruct
I Do Not Want This
Reptile
Heresy
Physical
The Way Out Is Through
The Fragile
La Mer
Gone, Still
I'm Afraid of Americans
Metal
Dead Souls

The list of songs Nine Inch Nails have been pulling out at their recent shows. Some haven't been played in years, some over a decade and some have never been played live. I cannot fucking wait until May 24th now. I almost want to see them at a regular show as well, because the show at Sasquatch won't be as long since it is a festival...Then again, maybe they will do something even more special for us...Like play The Perfect Drug or We're In This Together or The Only Time...
