Today I vow

to stop running away
to stop pushing you from me
to stop trying to "get you" before you "get me"
-even though you're not trying to "get me"-
to stop trying to read between the lines of what you say
-I'm learning that what you say is what you mean-
to treat you in response to who you are.. not who I'm used to
to keep my values to myself, and you to yours
to understand that, at times, we are cut from a very different cloth
-and that maybe that's a part of why I love you so much-

today I vow to love all of you
I think that may be the easiest of them all
