So Bonnaroo....

Well I'm home now. And somewhat glad. Tenessee is FUCKING HOT. How was my vacation? Well, it was...Hot.

The drive down to the Bronx went by fast, meeting Shannon was interesting. She's nice, I can see why JJ digs her. Walking around St. Marks Place was fabulous. I got sandles and pop art knee highs and butterfly sun glasses.

The drive to Tenessee was LONG, but not noticable, since I slept most of the  way. I was lucky enough to wake up wensday morning with a chest cold, so I took medicine, and checked out. When we got there, thursday morning, it was insanly hot, we rushed to set up our tents and camping area, it was so crowded. There were so many people. 80,000 to be exact. It was insane. While setting up the tent I started to feel very hot, and dizy. Chris got the tent up, and I imediatly layed down, shortly after I started vomiting. I beleive I blacked out, because I don't remember what happened from the time that Chris put a wet shirt on my back(a bit after I first threw up), to the time that I was on the back of a golf kart going to the medical tent. Where I got an iv, and layed for a few hours. After the iv was finished one of the medics took it out, and I slept a little more. I kept vomiting, and the head medic said that I should go to the hospital. So I did. I spent 24 hours there. Missing Bright Eyes, Oyster Head, Death Cab. I slept msot of the time at the hospital, I was exausted and had heat stroke...6 bags of fluid later, and a little white lie to the nurse and Chris and I walked back to the festival. Yes, Chris stayed at the hospital with me the WHOLE time. Which is why I lied to the nurse, he wouldn't leave without me, and I didn't want him to miss anymore than he already had. The nurse said the doctor was waiting to see if I could shit...(yeah yeah gross..)and the truth was I hadn't since wensday afternoon, but I lied, so we could leave. Anyways, we went back, and walked around a bit. Saw Tom Petty and the Heart Breakers and the Disco Biscuts, and then went to bed. Saturday we woke up, and I had a massive fever and didn't feel like moving, so I stayed at the tent and slept. Thankfully I could hear the music from the main stage at the campsite, so I technically didn't miss Beck, Or Elvis Castello, or Radiohead. Minus the half an hour where o few sites away from me someone was playing shitty rap and scraming their heads off. Chris came and checked on me periodically, which was very very nice, being as how the area where the stadges were, was a good mile away from the camp site. (Yes, he is the best boyfriend EVER.) Sunday, i woke up feeling a million times better (being as how I had just slept for pretty much 48 hours.) I actually walked around. We saw Mike Doughty, A little Bit of Soullive, Bella Flec and the Flectones, Sonic Youth and Phil Lesh and Friends. It was an awesome time. I had alot of fun.

The ride home was cramped and crabby. And quite a bit longer. In JJ's delirium he gave Berto wrong directions and it endded up adding 6 hours extra to the drive. By the time we had actually gotten home, we had been in the car for nearly 24 hours. I was glad to be home.

All in all, it was a good trip, minus the hospital visit. My bill should be here in about 3 weeks, and I fear it is going to make me sob. Since it will contain, an ambulance ride, an er visit, an x ray, 24 hours in the hospital, and 6 bags of fluid. Thankfully though, this hospital is very nice to people who do not have health insurance and knock of 40 percent of the bill right away and then if you find you can pay the bill in full they take of another 50 percent. And luckily enough, a pre approved credit card was waiting for me in the mail, so...if the hospital will take it(it's not visa or mastercard), it won't be so bad. We shall see.

While I was gone, apperantly work was interesting. Got a new girl, whom I do not like already. I haven't even met her, but I've heard things, that make me want to own a gun, no bullets, just a gun. Just to watch her wet her pants. Kelly forgot to put in my vacation, so I only got a one hundred dollar paycheck. That's kelly for ya, I can't count on him for anything.

Anyways, I'm off to do the dishes, and put away clothes, and clean things. So that we can get back to work on the house.

Fun times...
