the "no problem" plan

Apr 25, 2008 16:48

So the guy never showed up last night.  I sat outside the IHOP until 5:45 before giving up.  I emailed him to try and arrange new plans, which I never would have done if I'd had someone else who wanted it.  This guy is seriously wigging me out.  I would post the entire email exchange if it weren't FIFTEEN emails long (only six of which were mine).  So, instead?  I'll just list out some of the highlights - keep in mind these are all direct quotes and are funny to me either based on content or punctuation:

-I saw your post on CL and may be interested in your guitar!?
-Now comes the hard part- arranging how to actually see it and deciding when I am free to see/purchase it! I will not know until tomorrow (Tuesday, after an interview that will help determine my present cash flow viability!
-II live North and do not drive, so me getting to you may necessitate an extra day or two of arranging on my end, hope that does not put you out!
-I understand your statement about prior arrangements for Wednesday, just so long as it is not to show that guitar to anyone else!
-This would be the "no problem" plan from MY end just so long as when I interview tomorrow (Tuesday) I don't get hired and have to work past that time on the actual day of Thursday? If that happened we would have to re-schedule hurriedly so you didn't go to an IHOP for nothing!
-Yes, that should work fine...I would have left well before then to go to the bankie and would be taking the bus back to the IHOP to meet you...
-Also, FYI, try and call after 3pm Thursday to make sure I am awake!
-Darn Darn Darn! I am so sorry, but let me try and explain...I just wish there were anyw ay you could have seen this reply BEFORE Friday so yuo could have done what you suggested and brought it up again!
-I wish you had not gone to IHOP without having talked to me first- ha!
-If you would still like me to see we can arrange that at your convenience...havigna  contact number for you WOULD be useful as well, but since I cannot see you until at least Monday we can leave it at email for now.

Seriously?  He thinks I would give him my phone number?  I'm half considering telling him that if he doesn't stop emailing me, I'm not selling him the guitar.  That would be the "no problem" plan for me...
