It had been a long day for Jeanne, the Iron Maiden. Her efforts in stopping Hao from spreading his sin across the island were... futile, at best, but it would be a cold day in hell before she would even consider giving up.
... Unfortunately, thanks to the efforts of that silver haired man and Hao's own little quips, the vast majority of the population believed that her "warnings" were really misguided ways of... of showing her feelings for Hao! Hao! The man who wanted to destroy the entire human race!
She felt heat come to her cheeks - but not in embarassment, but... anger? Yes, anger seemed appropriate. If these people would just open their eyes and look at the person that they all believed was a charming young man with an affinity for fire, they would see! And they would fight! Jeanne was sure that with some effort, these people might really be able to help her!
Jeanne sighed. In any event, the day was over and the sun had long since set. She strode across the Titanic's deck to where her iron maiden was located - at the edge, right where she could just push we weight ever so slightly once inside to fall down into the water. She raised her arm to open the device, when without warning, it swung open.
... to reveal a bloody, and naked as the day he was born, Asakura Hao. A smile bright on his face, he stepped out of the iron maiden, with his... his... his other self so close to her... so close to her that she...
Jeanne couldn't even finish the thought without a few tears welling up in her eyes.
"Well well well, maiden, now that I've spent a day in here, will you reconsider my offer?"
While Hao may have gotten away unscathed that day, the Titanic (now known as "The Scrap Pile"), sadly, did not.
