HOLY FUCK. SO. AMAZING.
So Weezer is currently on their Memories tour, they play the entire Blue Album one night and the entire Pinkerton album the next night, plus each night has a set of "greatest hits".
ronin_tak and I had tickets to the Pinkerton night, fuck yeah!
^not my picture lmao
The concert was at the Gibson Ampitheater, which is at Universal Studios Hollywood. This was nearly as awesome as the show itself:
After we got into the venue we waited around in our seats for show to start. There was a big screen that you could text messages to. Of course not 10 minutes later we see "sup /b/" scroll by to which someone replied:
And then
To be replied with OMGZ I JUST LOST THE GAME etc. Then they stopped letting text messages go through to the board, imagine that, lol.
ANYHOW concert started and HOLY FUUUUUUUUCK.
They opened (appropriately) with the song Memories. The first half of the show was the greatest hits part, so they played one song off of each album counting backwards until the Blue Album, and skipping Pinkerton (obviously).
The song they played from The Blue Album was Only In Dreams, which is a good 10 minutes long. I've seen Weezer a few times before and I've never heard Only In Dreams played, so it was super exciting.

Everyone was really energetic. There was a trampoline on stage that Rivers was jumping on, and he threw about 6 rolls of toilet paper into the crowd. He even climbed down a few times and walked around the theater while singing.
After the first half of the show there was an intermission, and they showed a slide show of things from the band's early years like concert fliers and recording photos.
And lol apparently Pinkerton was called 2nd worst album of the year in 1996 by Rolling Stone magazine. Psh, shows what they know.
Then they came back out and played all of Pinkerton. Seriously, I can't believe we got to hear all these songs live, will never have another chance like that lmao.

Even though their new stuff isn't so hot, I still love Weezer to bits I'm so happy we were able to go to this show, Pinkerton is one of my favorite albums ever, and I still can't believe we actually got to hear the whole thing live.
