$16 billion used to address the plight of the poorest of the poor.
This equals .15% of US income...just 15 cents to every $100 of our national income.
20,000 people die a day from starvation...
...these statistics are slightly aggravating. To animal rights activists: I believe that if you believe your cause is good, then so be it. But maybe you should become a human rights activist first.
