part 1: four months ago i had to see a doctor about the tendonitis in my hips because i couldn't get through a kung fu class without intense pain. and that was not ok, because the pain made me cry, and as the youngest (by about 10 years) and only female student in my classes i really did not enjoy being seen in that state. the doctor told me that i would have to stop doing kung fu (or anything else) for a few months until the tendonitis healed, which sucked unbelieveably because i had been planning on getting my black sash before college, and that would have made me the first female sifu at the school. but i stopped, i stopped for four months, and i practiced kung fu forms in my head.
part 2 : after four months my hips aren't any better. actually, they've gotten worse. so i went back to the doctor on tuesday, and he told me that i should get an mri to make sure that i don't have any stress fractures or tumors. but then he said that he would also give me cortizone shots, after which i can "slowly resume activity" (!!!!!!!!)
part 3: oxford wouldn't approve the mri. they're bitches. but the doctor is going to give me the shots anyway!!!! my ridiculously long period of no ass-kicking is almost over :D
