WHO: Solidus, Hera, and Leoben for starters.
WHERE: Solidus' room, for starters.
WHAT: Bringing a whole new meaning to 'custody battle'.

One of the few places Solidus went without his exoskeleton was his own room (located in the lower levels because they would expect him to choose a room in the upper levels, closer to freedom, wouldn't they? Hah! He'd ( Read more... )

Helo stormed down the base's halls towards Solidus' room. He couldn't believe Hera was here. Thank the Gods he had the sense to stay calm and wait for Kirk to come with him. The last thing he wanted was a firefight and the possibility that his daughter might be hurt. Though from the sounds of it there might already be damage. Reaching his destination he saw the door was open and immediatly took cover. Moving slowly he approached the doorway. Looking in he found a beaten Solidus, and no sign of Hera. "Damn it! Where is she?" He yelled as he moved to cover Solidus with his weapon.

Kirk was right behind Helo, phaser drawn. Clearly negotiation was not going to be needed right now.

Solidus, still more than a little out of it, only groaned in response to Helo's question, until Kirk hauled him off the floor and shoved him against the wall. "Dammit man, answer us! Where, is, the girl? What's happened?"

The clone growled, then stared at Helo. "Who... who the hell are you?" He managed to snarl. "What are you doing in my room?" His fingers itched for a gun which was currently several feet away.

Helo backed up, and kept his weapon trained on Solidus. "Captain Agathon, Head of Security for ARMOR. I'm looking for Hera. You had her, now where is she?"

Solidus was able to stand again, and shoved Kirk away. "That religious nut- Leoben- he took her," he grunted. "He said he was her uncle." Solidus gingerly touched his bruised face. "He's not human... can't be."

Helo prayed he didn't hear that right. "Leoben? Captain we need to track him down NOW!"

"Immediately," Kirk agreed, beginning to pace. "Do you have any idea what he'll do, Captain? Will he hurt the girl? What's he... up to?"

Helo shook his head. "He won't hurt her, but he won't give her back. He thinks she's some sort of Cylon messiah." Helo ran his hand through his hair in frustration. "I don't even know what he's thinking. There's no where to run here."

Not from me, that's for sure, Solidus thought, struggling to contain his rage. "If you gentlemen will excuse me," he said, indicating the blood beginning to trickle from his nose, "I'll be in the bathroom." And putting on his exoskeleton shortly after that. "I'm counting on you to bring back my girl, men. Don't let me down." Of course, anyone in A.R.M.O.R. thought Solidus Snake was going to let the unwitting pawns of the base authorities take care of his Hera, they were even more useless than he thought they were.

Which was plenty.

Helo turned quickly, and stepped right in front of Solidus. "She's my Hera, and you won't be taking care of her anymore." He'd just leave off the things he had heard for now. As long as he got her back safe he could let it go.

Solidus cocked his head. "Your Hera? Excuse me?"

Kirk stepped between them in a hurry. "Captain Agathon... is Hera's biological father, Solidus. With him and Mrs. Agathon present, custody of the girl is theirs by right."

Helo took a breath and stepped back. He knew it would be better if he let Kirk speak. There were other things to attend to. Picking up his radio he keyed the mic. "This is ARMOR Leader to T-1. Put out an alert for Leoben. He has Hera."

Solidus' eye was doing that twitching thing again. Kirk tried to calm him down as quickly as possible. "Listen, you have to recognize that the girl will have a better life with her actual parents than with anyone else. If you truly want what's best for her, then you'll help us... bring her home."

The clone stared at Kirk for a moment, then grunted and strode into the bathroom, slamming the door behind him. The daughter of soldiers... A Cylon messiah. It explains a lot, at least.

Outside, Kirk sighed. "Well, we can only hope that he'll have the decency and common sense to stay out of our way, at the very least."
