Draco looked worn out as he opened the door. "Lupin," he said, sighing with resignation, motioning for the man to enter.

"All right, I suppose we might as well get this over with ..." He made a face.

"It'll be over soon." Remus said. "It's just some chanting--the hard part is, er," Remus hesitated. He'd already gotten backlash--not that he'd had any control over the way the spell works. "You're going to have to eventually fight--kill--whatever--whatever it is you've been seeing. Here's the book. I marked the page."

He lifted the book out of the box and turned to the page.

"I know," Draco sighed. "I already saw your message on the box." He waved at the computer.

"Really not looking forwards to that part, but if that's the only way to get it done ..." He took the book and started skimming the spell.

Remus smiled. 'The box.'

He began arranging the candles and everything else on the floor.

"Does it look OK?" He asked, suddenly feeling nauseus. He immedietely grabbed his extra Wolfsbane Potion from the box and drank it quickly.

Draco frowned at the things on the floor, and shifted some of them minutely. "I think it looks ok ... are we ready to do this?" He frowned up at Remus, trying not to let his nerves show on his face.

"Don't be nervous," Remus said kindly. He took a seat Indian style around the arrangement and motioned for Draco to do the same. He began chanting.

With a grimace, Draco sat and joined the chant.

Remus didn't expect the spell to take effect so quickly--a few words in and he was feeling sick, the pre-transformation effects setting in. He continued for as long as he could, pushing himself to do a little more, until he absolutely couldn't take it and jerked backwards, clutching his head.
