Remus was walking back to his room when all of a sudden, he was seized with an all too familiar sensation. He lost control of himself, doubled over, and groaned.

The Doctor isn't expecting it, he just turns a corner and sees the wolf. It takes him a moment to recognise the markings and feel a sense of relief. It takes him another fraction of a second to see the change in the creature's demeanor, recognising the hunting stance for what it is. The relief fades quickly.

The Doctor freezes. He doesn't think the wolf has seen him yet but if he moves, or makes a sound he knows he's in a world of pain. He contemplates trying olfactory misdirection- it worked on the Family - then disregards it because he's highly visible.

He quietly tries the door on his left - it's locked. He slips his hand into his pocket for his sonic screwdriver. He doesn't know where the door goes, he just wants to get out of this corridor and warn someone before the werewolf notices.

It may already be too late...

With a werewolf's keen hearing, Lupin heard the Doctor and immedietely turned in the direction. He ran quickly at the Doctor and pounced immedietely and fiercely, claws and teeth bared.

Instinctively, the Doctor raises his hands to shield his face, trying to back up and try to aim his Sonic screwdriver at the door at the same time. He loses traction and slips backwards, the screwdriver skidding across the floor as the weight of the wolf lands on his chest, pressing hard down on his lungs.

The Doctor wriggles frantically as claws dig into his skin through his jacket.

"Don't," he struggles to say. "Don't do this."

The wolf, of course, can't understand and continues to stand on the Doctor, growling and salivating. His claws are digging into the Doctor's shirt and chest. He takes a moment to stare at his prey, snarls and raises his front paw.
