Number One had a single real function in Cylon society- to be the voice of reason. And damn if it wasn't a full-time job, surrounded by that bunch. Usually the technical stuff was left to the Fours or Fives, the psychological warfare to the Twos, infiltration to the Sixes, and so on. This limited skillset probably explained why Cavil didn't have a clue what the computer was telling him. 'Containment ratio dropping? G-tech failing?' What the hell did that mean? He'd thought he knew everything the virus was going to do to the system, but apparently there were still some surprises left.
Engrossed in the computer, Cavil was paying no attention to any noise made by the forces approaching the door...
