The Cylons arrived late. The moment Cavil had learned a religious holiday was involved, he had suddenly begun remembering dozens of little things he had to take care of before heading over. Leoben had eventually had to threaten him with a philosophical discussion on the nature of God's love for the cosmos to get him to come.

So here he was, Two in tow, managing to simultaneously smirk sardonically at everyone in the room. "Well, let us all be of good cheer for a good year, huh?" he snarked.

Having recently gotten his first real look at the nastiness Cavil's model had helped perpetrate on New Caprica, Adama pinned him with a look that clearly said he was contemplating adding a large, industrial flashlight to his Christmas list.

But for now at least, he said nothing.

Cavil froze like a deer in headlights, if the headlights in question were bright blue and blazing with the hatred of a thousand suns. Taking his arm, Leoben led him away from Adama. Theological differences aside, the Cylons needed to rely on each other here- Leoben needed Cavil to keep him from hurling himself at Kara, and Cavil needed Leoben to keep him from provoking the humans more than was reasonably amusing.

Helo smiled and waved at Leoben as he walked over to greet the Admiral. Sure maybe even he didn't trust him completely yet but you couldn't build bridges by hacking at the supports could you. "Good to see you Admiral. Glad you could make it. Kara tells me it's going to be..interesting."

Adama gave Helo a wry half-smile. "Interesting, hm? I always worry when Kara starts resorting to understatement."

"Tell me about it. I'm a little worried sir. Not only is she using understatement, but I'd have to use the word...gleeful to describe her mood." he said as he tried to not laugh.
