Who: Death and Draco
When: after
this conversation
What: tea in Draco's new rooms
It had only been a couple days since Death had carried a passed out Draco back to his room to put him to bed, yet the current interior bore little resemblance to its former self. The room Death had seen had been generic and mass-produced looking, like a dorm room or a barrack. It probably looked the same as most of the other rooms on the base. There were generic white walls, a generic bed, desk and dresser in generic fake wood colors.
In the intervening two days, Draco must have been busy, for the room appeared to have undergone a complete transformation
. The feel of the room could now only be described as ... posh. The walls were a classic cream color, with an elegant white wainscoting. Large sleek leather chairs dominated the room, arranged around a mahogany table. They faced towards a fireplace, in which magical flames burned without actually consuming anything. The floor was a dark hardwood, with the chairs sitting on a plush looking rug. There were green throw pillows carefully arranged to look casually thrown about, and silver sconces on the wall provided plenty of warm illumination. Oriental looking paintings of dragons decorated the walls.
Draco had obviously enlarged the space some how, for where originally there had been only one room, now there was a main room with several doors branching off of it. Through one door, glimpses of book shelves and a desk could be seen, through another, the corner of a great four-poster bed. At the end of the main room, the living room, there was a kind of kitchenet, separated by a high narrow built in table, with bar-style seating.
Perhaps the most noticeable feature of the room, certainly the most unusual, were the window frames set in the wall that looked out on to ... blank wall. They looked kind of silly, which was out of keeping with the rest of the room.
Draco perched on the arm of one of the leather chairs and fiddled with the silver tea service that was sitting on the coffee table, while he waited for his guest to arrive.
