It did occur to me that I would have liked to have said, "No freaking way," but it's extremely hard to say that to one's boss: I understand. You want to seem helpful and it's hard having boss-anger directed in one's direction.
AND: you did an AMAZING job! Public-speaking is high up there in the top fears of all human beans, and you did it in a different country when you didn't know what was going on! I might have been in tears.
AND!! You were soooooooooooooo clever to say, "I'd like to let the SOGO teacher say a few words"... was she the person who told you to do it? If so, she TOTALLY deserved it. You only did to her exactly what she did to you, except she knows what she's DOING. HALLO. And even if it was someone else, it was very smart to hand it over to someone who knows more about what's going on.
That's so rude that after you said your opinions, they all started talking in Japanese. How horrible! I mean, I understand that people feel most comfortable talking in their mother-tongue, and I'm really used to people lapsing into Armenian at my school, but that is a really, really rude and inappropriate time to speak in a language that you don't understand.
I am SO SORRY, Diana. Seriously. I would be in tears. Even though you perhaps could have avoided it, it doesn't change the evilness that they pulled! And you were totally put on the spot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
