Opening day tomorrow -
Tomorrow is the soft opening for the store. I'm super excited, and nervous, scared, crazy, eccentric..... etc. I'm just going nuts over here.
I still need to get children's hangers - worst case, i can go to the $1 store and spend $50 on just hangers and then be done. It will be less stressful that way. I'm beginning to realize just why people spend so much on items - it's so much less stressful!!!
I have so many ideas for the store though. It worked out, meeting CJ and Lindsay off of CL. Lindsay works as a GM for Jamba Juice on University, so she's going to do a promotion for the store, next weekend for the grand opening. Vicki is going to be so excited about that.
See? It's all about who you know, isn't it? I'm meeting new people every day, making connections and building a whole network of people our age who are into fun, hip, funky stuff. That's the market that i'm going for..... I might as well have fun with it.
Brandon has been such an amazing help with the store. He's done woodworking with the dressing rooms, helping me build shelves, and do everything else that is technical, handy and just confusing for me. I'm so glad he's on board with this store. Considering, we are opening tomorrow, i'm really thankful for his help.
My dad leaves today. He's moving to KC for a whole year. I'm sad. :( I hung out with him last night - smoking and playing cards. That's our thing.... and i'm going to miss him so much. It's only a year, and i will visit him as well. Michelle is in KC also, so it's a double excuse to go visit. Now if i can just find some time..
I saw Lena yesterday. She came to the store to help me organize, and we were able to get some alone time. Barely. I do plan on putting a pullout sofa in the backroom, once i get the store up and running. It's important to have a comfy couch in your break room, isn't it? Especially a pull out one, so your girlfriend can stay and enjoy herself. :)
Next time....
So many things to do..... it's 8:25 am. I better get dressed, it's cold sitting here in my living room, naked. I should definitely go shower.
