Hell yeah, new icon. It's a snowflake of trivial pursuit pieces. Woot.
Weekend ROCKED! I love getting to see Louis... I already miss him again like crazy. We are such awesome dorks--we spend a good three hours yesterday playing this dumb video game on my computer. I love that we can both have a great time doing stupid shit like that. Then we watched Dick, and I'm pretty sure that he and my father are the only two people who appreciate that movie as much as I do.
Also had an awesome time at Steak n' Shake on Friday night with Amanda and Mandi--I adore the two of them.
I have to do an essay for women's studies, and I'm sick about it. I have never gotten worse grades on papers in my life than I do in thatmclass. I don't know why, either--I grasp the concepts easily enough. Maybe it's that my papers are 3-6 pages long instead of 9-14, which some of the people in that lcass do (there's never a required length).
Fortunately, other classes are going much better. I'm doing "Sure Thing" for my acting final--rock on.
I read two really good plays this week: Boy Gets Girl and Blue Surge, both by Rebecca Gilman. SO FUCKING GOOD. Boy gets girl is absolutely in my tom five or ten now. Stagewest did it last season, never saw it though, and now I really wish I had. If any of you has a chance, read it. It's a really quick read, and really intense.
Follies auditions are March 2. I am completely and utterly terrified. I have to audition to keep my scholarship, but seriously, guys... singing in public is one of my hugest fears--anyone who was at Wake callbacks last year will remember how scared I was, and that was in front of people who I know well. Eek.
I really like the look of the work "eek" when it's capitalized. Eek. Eek. Eek. I think it really gets the emotion through.
Dude, I am within one degree of separation of someone on best week ever this week. I must be really lame, because I feel way cooler about that than I should.
I am really happy that I've expanded my musical tastes so much within the past year. I no longer listen to only showtunes, and this is a good things (though it should be noted that showtunes still kick ass).
Four more weeks of the term...woot.
I'm really excited for Tenor to go up... it's such a fun show, but I'm at the point that it's getting tedious pretty fast, and now I want an audience there. And my costumes are purdy... that's always a plus.
