so yea, i'm almost there. i can taste the end of the semester and it tastes a lot like candy canes and kinder eggs.
and because i feel especially, oh how do you say, willing to be scoffed at. i'm going to show you my 60's project. i'm not an artist. i never clamied to be. so the painting isn't good. but hey it works. and the class seemed to really like it. the smarty pants kids said it was cool and stared at me while i talked the whole time. so that's gotta mean something. unless my nipple was showing or something. or maybe it was my armpits. i didn't shave. not because it was a 60's class and all just because, well, come on, you guys know me.
my project doesn't really have a name but the point was to look at the civil rights movement by not looking at it. (how 60's of me.) i decided to research a lynching that took place in St. Pete. in 1914 and then look at that same corner now and ask the viewer, have things changed? if you really want to know more ask me. and i am putting the picture behind a cut because there is graphic content. and when i say that i mean i painted a piece of cardboard. but some people are sensitive. so you are warned.
the scale is pretty screwy but, i'm pressed for time here people.
