This Girl Is... almost keeping it together, just
Dear ones, I haven't even looked at LJ since sometime before my birthday at the end of last month, apart from a phone post sometime last week. Friday maybe? IDEK.
So, first of all, thank you so much to everyone who sent good wishes for my birthday! I was really touched and a little overwhelmed by how many of you there were! ♥♥♥
The thing is you see, I am stupidly insanely busy. Again. I knew April and May would be hard - they were last year, and this year I was determined not to make myself ill again. Which, by the way, success! I am largely healthy, if massively unfit! But it does mean that it takes longer, so it's all rolling over into June, and there will still be plenty happening in July. (The archaeological society journal, for which I am lead editor this year, is just taking forever. I'm having to start thinking about next years, and we're not even done with this one yet.)
And now I'm buying a house. My first, so this is freaking me the fuck out. With masses of things to organise, and only the vaguest idea what I'm doing, and lots of second-guessing myself, because I'm good to myself that way. But! By the end of summer I will be living with my flatmate in a nice little house, with a conservatory, and a nice but small garden, and it will be all mine!
Beltane went well, I think, although the comment counts are low, as was participation. I am hoping to find someone to help me mod next year. If there's anyone who would like to help, do let me know, and feel free to let people know that I'm looking. It doesn't have to be someone I already know, or anyone who has already modded a fest.
And somewhere in the middle of all that, I am going to DC, NYC, and Toronto for about a week and a half. And then my mum is coming to visit. And then treacle_tartlet is coming to visit! (Right? Right?)
And probably some other stuff I'm forgetting.
