Established Relationship fics
There are not a lot of H/D established relationship fics around. And I've noticed that when someone makes this observation, a lot of the feedback is that people just don't like them very much, which seems weird to me. I have no problem with Harry and Draco being older. And I doubt their relationship would ever be entirely smooth sailing - it's what I love about them, neither of them can just leave anything about the other alone. Or that random weirdness would stop happening to Harry.
But today I read a comment that made it click in my mind what's often missing from established relationship fics.
Conflict.
Most of them are pretty much fluff*. There might be a bit of a spat to spice up the sex, but there's no real conflict in them. Or at least not the ones I've read. I don't know if I've been looking in the wrong places? There just doesn't seem to be many with a really juicy plot.
Anyone got links to prove me wrong? Ideas why this is? A sudden urge to fill the gap in the market?
