#1: What is the significance behind your username?
My favorite animal is the flying fish (I am a bit of a fish nut an love them all actually- except the hagfish. it knows why) but "flyingfish" was taken. So then I decided to switch it around and voila- this fish does indeed fly.
#2: At what age did you start reading fanfic/ get involved in fandom? and what was your first fandom?
I started to read horrible Dragon Ball Z fics friend printed out at age 12 or so. It was badly written and just... ugh. But a while later I got into my first real fandom- Harry Potter. My mom got me the book when the second came out, but I held out until the third came out just a while later. I was reluctant to read them at first because I was used to reading books with female protagonists. AHAHAHAhah, self. Now most my favorite characters on shows are guys, although my books are still more girls.
#3: Has there ever been a time when you've been without a fandom? if so, how did you cope?
Not really. Ever since getting into it, I've had one. Plus, I collect fandoms like pennies. I'll run out of fic for one and get to impatient to wait for more, and then get into another.
#4: Do you believe in the supernatural? to what extent?
Not at all. I do not believe in psychics, ghosts or any of that. I am a committed atheist since a young age, too. Supernatural things in some shows actually piss me off. I'm fine with it if the show makes it real- like in Supernatural or Dead Zone or something, but I only like it in my fiction. When one of my non-supernatural shows has something with psychics, i get pissed. Like when one helps a cop on a procedural show. NOT ON, SHOW. Heck, things like acupuncture and homeopathy and chiropractors piss me off. I'm a "science!yay" girl. (Never get me started on vaccinations. I can go on and on.)
#5: If you were a pie, what kind of pie would you be?
Rhubarb. Nice and sour. My favorite, too.
#1: Why did you pick your usernname?
I like fssh.
#2: What is your main fandom and why?
Um, um, I don;t really have one. I'm most "active" in Supernatural, but that is only because I talk in chat so much. But I wouldn't say "main". Maybe like co-main, shared with a few others? Because then it would be Harry Potter, SPN, SGA, Merlin, Due South, and Marvel.
#3: Do you ship in said fandom? Why or why not?
I ship in most everything. I'm in fandom to get something that show does not provide, and that is usually ships. If I wanted gen or just plain canon, i'd stick to watching/reading it over and over.
#4: What is your default icon and why?
"Logical" from Shoebox Project. I made it so so long ago and love it. It's what I strive to be, but it reminds me of the Supertramp song.
#5: If you could put yourself in any fandom (TV show, book, movie, etc.), which one would you pick and why?
Um, um- the Brainship-verse. Because then I'd be a cool spaceship and live for a super long time and reading/writing fic would be simple.

Because they are awesome. I mean, they are more than anything and they live everywhere and some fucking fly. Plus they are pretty and shiny.

Brown, with light brown spots. Or Argyle.
#3: What book/movie/show do you wish had a bigger fandom?
"It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia"
#4: If you could have one cryptozoological pet, what would it be?
Um, um... A kelpie.
