So, I'm now working on another TW crossover. This one is TW/HP. I've even got a title, but no fanmix, yet. "Veiling the Rift". You can guess from the title what it is about.
And if you can't- Sirius appears in Cardiff after he falls through the Veil. The fun bit is that Sirius is still a dangerous criminal in the Muggle world. So Torchwood will have fun when they find out who he is. Mind probing! Learning about wizards! Learning about aliens! Learning the fate of the wizarding world! Reunions!
I'm planning on writing more before posting anything, although I do have the first little bit done.
I've also been working on the TW/Brainship story. I love the Ianto/Lisa back story and the Doctor is adorable as a Brainship.
Ianto being installed into his Brainship.
The feeling is like nothing Ianto has ever felt.
Before he is unplugged, the lights are white overhead. The slight hum is distracting. It pluses erratically, bouncing across the ceiling. Ianto has never noticed it doing that before, so perhaps it was just the drugs now running through his circulatory system now. The drugs are designed to distance a person from sensation without fully numbing them. Ianto assumes they are working.
He knows the exact moment that he is detached. It is a new pain, and new and excruciating. Ianto would be curled around himself, holding his head and screaming if he could. In reality he just watched the colors dance around his head. The sky is a nice pink color, he notes absently. It is one of those sunrises that he had loved as a child.
Then, the world explodes.
Sirius, finding out when it is.
The man once again assumes a serious expression. He leaned forward, elbows on knees.
"You wouldn't happen to know the date?"
"Thirteenth of April," Ianto supplied promptly. The man's eyes clouded and his mouth twisted.
"This may sound strange, but what year is is?"
Torchwood Three as a whole expelled a huff of breath. That was never a good question, it was even worse to actually depend on the answer.
"2009," Gwen murmured lightly after looking at Jack.
What followed was an impressive string of curses. They were half in French and half in English. But even the English seemed to contain words that Ianto did not quite understand.
"So, I'm guessing this is not where you expected to be. Or when," Jack drawled when the curses petered off. "Maybe we can help. I'm Captain Jack Harkness, this is Ianto Jones, and that is Gwen Cooper. We're Torchwood."
"Nice to meet you. Sirius Black. Yesterday was the eighteenth of June, 1995."
"Huh, I didn't expect you to be from the past," Gwen blurted out.
"I didn't expect to be from the past, either," he shot back.
