May I present? An Evening With Harry, Carrie, and Garp.
To introduce, this is Steph. She = excited.
STAGE! Oh, and by the way. Photography was, of course, strictly prohibited.
Whoopi Goldberg introduced the show. Sorry in advance for the absolutely awful picture quality, but between being far away and not using a flash, it wasn't too great at all. >_<
Then Kathy Bates introduced Stephen King. She was in a few of his movies, and she said what she remembered most about Stephen was he carried around a rubber rat in his pocket, and threw it at people when things got dull.
He said he was scared of everything. Imagine that, eh?
He was really down to earth, though, for a guy who writes novels about guys getting turned into mince pie.
He also wouldn't comment on the most inoppertune time when an idea for a novel struck. I was like lolol.
John Irving. His story was really good. Most of my pictures of him were super, super blurry though. :(
Jon Stewart! Introduced JKR. Note the podium. "I look forward to each and every installment...I should be sitting out there with you."
JKR JKR JKR! The girl in front of me decided to stand up and I was like WTF >:O
She had a throne. We were really, really far away :(
She read a section of HBP!
Video When Dumbledore goes to Tom's Orphanage and tells him he's a wizard.
She said "Dumbledore" so awesomely.
Then they all came out and answered questions, *squee*, including the shipping one, ahahaha. Which, coincedentally, I have a video of.. know that it's awful quality and all, but
here.
Here's pretty much what she said, stolen from
The Leaky Cauldron.
For the reading, Rowling read from Half-Blood Prince the scene where Dumbledore tells Tom Riddle he is a wizard. In response to some of the fan questions, J.K. Rowling said both that the relationship between a wizard and his wand would become more important in Book 7 and that if she were to look into the Mirror of Erised, Hermione would see both the war over and the trio fine, andherself closely entwined with a certain person whose identity you can probably guess. She also said the online "shipping wars" (very spirited discussions mainly between people who thought Harry and Hermione should end up together and those who thought Ron and Hermione should end up together) were like cyber warfare, and said what happens to Draco as a result of his not being able to kill Dumbledore will be addressed in book seven.
Here's other questions she answered:
Part One,
Part Two You'd think we've never been there before.
*luser*
And when we got back to the train station, my mom realized she had a flat tire! Oh no.
So we waited.
And waited.
And got bored, so we decided to go outside.
With my camera.
And we were really, really hyper.
Insane? Oh, yes, that too.
But I was a radioactive-shoed ballerina :)
Stephanie was rather normal though. Minus the shoes, I mean.
And since I like to call this "I'm a rockstar 8)", here are a few songs.
WEEEEEE ARE THE CHAMPIONSSSSSSS
Stop right now! Thank you very muuchh, I need somebody with the human touch-h-h-h-h.
THEN THE AAA TRUCK CAME!
So we decided it was over, and we had to take our bows.
With my incredibly sun-burned head.
Steph ran away, because she was scared.
But then she was like.. encore!
So mommy came over and tried jumping so we can get a picture, but instead she looked like a duck.
An Egyptian duck.
With an Egyptian daughter.
If I knew what drugs we were on, I would certainly tell you where you could get them.
Then we came home.
AND MY CAT ATTACKED MY PRECIOUS PROGRAMS, OMFG.
They were honorable at one point.
In other news,
we didn't start the fandom.
