It took me two years and four months to do it, but I have finally cut myself at work and made it worth mentioning on this journal. I was opening olives with the newly designed knives (they are like razor blades with tiny handles). One slip, and I nearly cut my knuckle off. It wouldn't stop bleeding at first, but some gauze and a bunch of tape got it under control.
Aside from that...not a lot's going on. Next Saturday is my birthday, and so far it looks like it might just be one of those unforgetable ones. Kathleen C. is flying in from Philly just for the occasion, so I feel special. :) James has a big surprise that he's been planning, and I'm all excited to find out what it is. I still have to finish shopping for Athena, but I have a ton of ideas. Yesterday I bought Lizzie her gifts. I got her little pink gardening tools and some marigold seeds. She will have fun playing with them at Daddy's house. :)
What else? Talked to Gretha yesterday. She's all excited about us coming to visit at the end of the month (25 days and counting). We're coming during Uber-party week apparently, so Amsterdam's gonna be all ready for a couple more tourists!
Oh, there's potentially a party at my place in a couple of weeks that promises to be as kick ass as the Halloween shindig. I will post details as they form.
That's all I've got for now. I gotta get ready for class at five...and study for my A/P test Wed.
