RANT, AND DAMN ITS A GOOD ONE!
In response to a good friends Live Journal post, i wrote this(NOTE; there has been a few revisions):
Ok, the idea that Tom Cruise is in a gimmick relationship was completely thrown out the window when Holms got pregnant. Although studios are known to put celebrities together in fake relationships, no studio would EVER mess with a child being born in this situation. The fact is that if it was a fake relationship, Katie Holms and Tom Cruise would walk down the red carpet, attend the movie/event then just go to their sepreate homes. The fact that they have a child together is the evidence that despite how freakish it is, its legit. Also... for the love of god, hes TOM FUCKIN CRUISE! he doesnt need to do ANYTHING for his career, ANYTHING, his career is fine, the guy can get any role he wants because despite how insane he is, hes a dedicated and fine actor who respects his fellow actors, his crew, and his directors. No one who has worked with him (except for the few people who say he tried to convert them, and emphasis on the FEW) has nothing but respect for him and enjoy working with him. And if that wasn't true, Speilberg wouldn't have gone anywhere near him, because Speilberg is movie Jesus and he can make or break your career, and Tom was already dating Holms at that time. Another fact that hes NOT marrying Holms for his career, is... for the love of god, SHE'S KATIE FUCKING HOLMS! SHE SUCKS! If he was to date a actress for his career, he would date a MUCH better actress, DID YOU SEE HER IN BATMAN!!! Damn you Christopher Nolan for doing one thing that kept that movie from being perfect! DAMN YOU!
Everything else you said was true, the guy needs to shut the fuck up, hes nuts, hes insane, no doubt about it, but he will only shut the fuck up if the media gets its head out of its ass, so don't blame Cruise, blame the news guy pointing the camera in his face. Hes like a disease, but Cruise isnt the virus, hes the symptom, you dont treat the symptom, you treat the disease, and the disease is a mass market media that doesn't really understand its mass market. We dont care who's dating who, whos fucking who, who left who for who or why or how much money their making, make the fucking movie, play your fucking music, accept your FUCKING award and MOVE THE FUCK ON NEWS! They are not GODS, they are people and the only reason why they get big heads and egos is because YOU make them that way! DAMN YOU MASS MEDIA, DAMN YOU TO HELL
