One of the best things about being at the Cape for the past few days was the complete disconnect from really any form of technology. My cell phone died the day after we got there and I didn't charge it until we got home yesterday. There was no internet. I did not watch television.
It felt amazing but kind of scary at the same time. Is it weird that a DVR full of unwatched shows and an internet full of unread articles (Science Tuesday!) that I need to catch up on feels kind of overwhelming? I can't figure out which I love more: being completely disconnected or being 100% caught up, but I cannot be in between.
Other Cape highlights:
-bonfire
-tick bite (not so much a highlight)
-East Coast eat out
-"Did I get stabbed last night and not remember it?"
-Marge
-bike ride
-drama
Everyone do yourselves a favor and go buy a bottle of Sailor Jerry. The sailing metaphors that result will be worth the tremendous hangover.
