brother, can you spare a dime

Hey dudes, I know I'm a fucking nerd about this dog stuff, but one of the things that makes me sick is that in Dekalb County we are forbidden by a county ordinance to adopt pit bulls out to Dekalb County residents. Consequently, we have a constant influx of beautiful and often perfectly friendly dogs that come to us who we then kill. A rescue group, Saving Shelter Pets, is raising money to save this one, and she has until tomorrow (Wednesday) at 4 p.m. before she dies. They need $250 to cover the adoption fee, vet bills and transport (they transport dogs outside of the state for adoption), as well as the expense of taking care of her until she finds a home. I know this dog and she is great. I just gave them $50, and I'm hoping that the rest of you can kick in a few bucks or even a dollar so they can save her. The dog is here:

Since I got this info off a MySpace bulletin, I don't know how to copy it over, but the rescue group's site is here:

You can just specify that your donation is for the grey & white pit from Dekalb. It is really rare that rescue groups will take a pit, so I hope you will consider helping! Thanks!!

P.S. I'm totally pissed at the shelter right now, but that's another story. The important thing is that this is a great chance to help a helpless dog.
